Secret Pokémon Campaign

David's Notes, Seafoam Islands

So a lot of awesome shit has been going on in the world of the Rising Stars! Just the other weekend Silph Co. produced its first tournament to give young trainers a chance to join the Rising Stars. After several battles I was able to win the tournament! It was great and if you are interested in watching you can watch it on the Silph Co. website or here for personal casting of the process from yours truly. After the tournament Jenni went to the gym to pick up the Heart Badge. When we were done there the real fun began though. We decided to make a run down to the Seafoam Islands. After a dangerous run in with an army of Tentacool, we made it to the islands. After a two day hike up the mountain after we almost froze to death we made it to the top of the summit. There, just like all the tales said was an Articuno. It battled with Jason and with one powerful thunderpunch Jason’s Electabuzz took it out! Thats right guys, we are now traveling as a party with two legendary birds! TWO OF THEM! Now on to Moltres!

David's Notes-Back on Track

So I know its been a long time, glad you guys stayed with me. Jenni, Jason and I had a blast on the cruise, caught a lot of awesome new pokemon and did some exploring. The pokemon on the orange islands have some amazing, unique coloration, I would highly recommend taking a tour of them if you ever find yourself able to. While on the cruise I met the CEO of Silph Co. and was highly impressed, after some extensive talks we signed on with Silph Co. as our new sponsors. After getting back to the main land in Vermillion we headed north to Saffron to make it official, there we made a new friend by the name of Aric. He is an accomplished pokemon trainer from Johto. His pokemon are bit bulky for my tastes but he seems to know how to use that to his advantage. After a few days, Aric also signed on with Silph Co. In Saffron we did a lot of battling and training, as well as catching many new pokemon, it would seem that Saffron has many interesting pokemon to offer, especially if you are looking for an eevee. After Saffron the gang and I headed to Celadon so we could visit the infamous Celadon Department Store. With the help of Silph Co and a little cash I was able to obtain a couple of evolutionary stones, a Fire Stone for Epic, and a Dawn Stone for Tom. That’s right, my vulpix is now a ninetails, and eevee is now an Espeon! Both of whom have already proven their worth! Anyway, my friends and I will probably stay here a few days, train and have some fun. Anyone nearby should head over and challenge me!

David's Notes, The S.S.Anne

The next day we hit the S.S. Anne, and man is it something. This ship has all of the bells and whistles. Anything you could want this place has, on the house. We got massages, battled and played shuffleboard all on the first day. The massages were awesome, they offered them for Pokemon too. The battles, were pretty good too, you can make a lot of money their, people who can afford this cruise are willing to put up big stakes. The next day at Pokemon Tech Jenni, Jason, and I had battles against different members of the school to show the differences in battling of badge trainers vs. Pokemon Tech trainers. Jenni showed the girls how Pokemon Contests were structured, and used Clefairy to show them examples of each of the different rounds. After that Jason battled a guy by the name of Alder, they went slow and analyzed each move for the audience. Not exactly super exciting, but it was educational. I had the day before warned Mrs. Dubeau that my party would not tolerate this form of battle, so they paired me up with a guy by the name of Liam Feint. Liam is one of the schools premier students, and is an extremely gifted trainer . He and I had a full party battle in front of the entire school. The battle was epic, with my charmander doing amazingly well, I would definitely recommend watching it, for a link to the battle click here. After this battle we spent a few hours at the school then headed on our way; we have badges and ribbons to obtain! Very little of interest happened in Vermillion City. The first day their, Jenni won her contest ribbon. She did it quite handily as well, no one else came close. The next day Jason and I went to the Gym to get our badges. The Gym leader of Vermillion is a guy named Brody, who specializes in water type pokemon. Both Jason and I won our battles, if you are interested in an analysis of how to battle Brody, the earlier link should be of some use. After defeating the gym, my friends and I, decided to track down Thomas Oak, who we new was in the city. Turns out he was staying in an extremely expensive hotel. Somehow he had scored four tickets to the S.S. Anne. He said he would battle each of us for them. Jason, and I both fought him for our tickets and won, Jenni got hers on credit. After we left Cerulean we headed down Route 5 towards Vermillion City. There we hope to obtain our third badges and second ribbon respectively. We were a day and a half out of Cerulean, getting close to Vermillion when we come upon a group of students walking out of the woods, led by a Miss Dubeau. We introduced ourselves as traveling trainers, and she introduced her group as a class from the local Pokemon Technical School. At Pokemon Technical School, students learn to become Trainers in a safe and structured environment. The group we met was a class of underclassmen, however when you graduate you are supposedly ready to go straight to the Indigo League. They take training here instead of battling gym leaders and collecting badges. Miss Dubeau, kindly invited us to accompany her back to the school and see how things were run there. Upon arriving we were given rooms for the night and allowed use of the recreational facilities. Jason went to the kitchen to prepare a meal, Jenni went show her tapes of the Zapdos and Clefable Ritual to the in house researchers, and I went to the soccer field where i had heard a battle can be found for the willing. After a while a girl named Serena Rain came up to me, accepting my challenge to battle. She was rather hostile, wanting nothing more than to embarrass me and send me on my way. We had a three Pokemon Battle, which I was able to defeat her in. If you are interested in the battle, Jenni recorded itDavid FiltorvsSerena Rain. The Pokemon Tech students seem to extremely proficient in the technical side of battling, what they lack is creativity and heart. Tomorrow I believe Jenni, Jason, and I are going to help the staff with some sort of demonstration then we will be on our way to Vermillion.

David's Notes, Power Plant

After obtaining my Tauros I went back to the Cerulean Gym, and re challenged Dalia. The fight was much less difficult this time and I got my badge. Jenni, Jason and I decided to go out after that; we went to a local club and danced till about 2. Right before we left though there was a power surge and the lights burst. I asked Dalia what it was all about and she said it was due to some wild pokemon fighting at the local powerplant. We resolved to join Dalia and attempt to clear out the wild Pokemon living in the powerplant. The next day we wake up bright and early to go start on it, and there is a random guy in our room at the Pokemon center, turns out he is Lucas Drale, the guy bringing me my thunderstone. I give it to my Pikachu, and it evolves into a Raichu! It was super exciting. Lucas decides to join us on our mission to the powerplant. After meeting Dalia at the gym, we all load up in a few jeeps and head out. When we get there it begins to rain, so we head in, and walk right into a huge turf war, electric vs poison. It takes us several hours, but we manage to get the leaders of the groups, a Muk, and Electabuzz, Jason catches both of them since they are extremely strong and I don’t have room for them in my party. As we are leaving we spot a Zapdos on the top of the building! Jenni flipped it, we had to physically drag her away! As soon as our Pokemon were healed up, Jenni and I rushed off, with Jason in hot pursuit. She wanted to catch the Zapdos, and I to train. After a crazy battle Jenni caught the Zapdos! A Zapdos it’s incredible, and Jason got all of it on tape!

David's Notes, Tauros

After Dalia defeated me I knew I needed to finish rounding out my party before challenging her again, so I took a ride down route 5 to meet a man whom Professor Oak put me in touch with named Rancher Rick. He is a Tauros breeder, and I have always wanted a Tauros. However I was not exactly loaded with cash, only having two thousand dollars on me. He was an incredibly nice guy and agreed to battle me for one of the more rambunctious youngsters in his herd. If I won I get it for two thousand, if I lost I got an egg for two thousand. I sent out my pidgey against his Tauros. My pidgey’s speed was able to defeat the rancher, and with that I had a full party.

David's Notes, Cerulean City

So, the lady we met when trying to help the Vulpix turned out to be Dalia Charge, the Cerulean Gym leader and supermodel extraordinaire. She is alright though, nowhere near as stuck up as she could be. In her gym battles she uses a Raichu and a Jolteon. Took me two tries to beat her because of my party’s weakness to electric moves. Jason, however, had no problems at all – his Ivysaur defeating the gym leader single handedly. Jenni also won the Normal Ribbon for the local Pokemon contest in the cute division with her Clefairy. Clefairy really shined during the battle part of the contest, competing against Dalia’s sister Acie’s pikachu.
